Rudy Cremonini - Soul Shibari in mostra a Roma

Rudy Cremonini è un giovane pittore bolognese che si propone al pubblico romano in questi giorni con i suoi ultimi dipinti dal titolo Soul Shibari. Il nome prende spunto da una tecnica di “bondage leggero” che Rudy attribuisce al lavoro psicologico a cui lui sottopone i suoi modelli.
Modelli non in carne ed ossa, ritratti ispirati da fotografie di persone vissute negli anni 30 e 40 e ormai decedute.

Uomini, tutti uomini e tutti prelati, persone che quindi hanno abbracciato un’identità precisa aderendo ad un codice ferreo e preordinato. Rudy intravede in questa costrizione lo stereotipo dell’unicità di ognuno di noi che costituisce un limite rispetto alla ricchezza che ogni essere umano può esprimere.

 

Rudy ci parla di desideri repressi, di volontà sopite che si colgono nei chiaro scuri dei suoi ritratti. Un lavoro di analisi al limite della psicoterapia mediato però dal gusto estetico e dall’idea del bello dell’autore.

Queste persone ci guardano fisse negli occhi, non sfuggono allo sguardo penetrante dell’artista. Più che quello che ci vogliono dire ci sembra di poter cogliere nei loro visi la tenace volontà di rimanere fedeli al loro stereotipo senza svelare la loro molteplice natura. Il desiderio di nascondere che a sua volta nasconde i loro desideri.

Siamo andati all’inaugurazione della mostra che Rudy ha portato a Roma nello scenario di una delle piazzette più suggestive della capitale, Piazza Mattei nella Galleria WhiteCube3.
